Shipping costs just struck out looking.

We heard a rumor you like free shipping...

The expectations of online shoppers are constantly changing. Amazon has normalized free shipping on nearly all purchases; airlines show all-in costs up front; and Etsy recently announced a heavy shift towards a free shipping cost structure.

So we decided to poll our customers this past week to see if we needed to reevaluate our pricing structure.  We asked our 56,000 Facebook fans the following questionWhat are you more likely to purchase - a $35 handmade gift with FREE shipping, or the same item at 20% off with $7 shipping?

A little math skills reveal that the total price is the same in both instances....but what feels better - the free shipping?  Or getting something at a discounted price plus shipping?

The response was overwhelming.  80% of Facebook fans replied with free shipping as their answer.  We even had multiple prospective customers message us privately to say the reason they haven't placed an order, despite having a 20% discount code, was because of shipping costs.

The message I want to communicate loud and clear is this:  We hear you!  And your preferences matter to us.  Effective immediately, we are implementing a FREE SHIPPING policy on all order totals over $40. That means you'll receive the same high-quality packaging (with our custom logo tape and brown craft paper branding) at no cost to you.

What to expect: free shipping will automatically be applied at checkout for purchases over $40. Plus, we won't be increasing any product costs through the rest of 2019 to try to offset this shift in pricing.  In other words, no sneaky upcharges here!  :)

We greatly appreciate your business.  If shipping charges were preventing you from pulling the trigger on our unique handcrafted baseball products, then start shopping now!  We'd love to earn your business.

Any questions or issues with ordering?  Email me directly:  nate@baseballseamsco.com.  I'd love to help.
